Located just off one of the best roads in Midcoast Maine is "The Barn". Owner Denis called it this because as he was finishing it it took the shape and feel of a barn. It's not a barn. It's a quiet post and beam open concept building (a Jamaica Cottages kit) set among the fields of Appleton Maine. You'll sleep in the loft or on a futon on the main floor. The bathroom is huge, 10X10, with a heated floor. It's an open concept kitchen and living space. There are no interior walls in The Barn. The structure is framed with 8" X 12" beams 20 feet long. The loft has a King size bed. There is a futon on the main floor. It's 100 % livable with stove, frige, sink, microwave, AC/Heat, Starlink internet, Dish TV. There is also a fire pit and picnic table outside. From Appleton you are 20 miles away from the tourist destinations of Camden, Rockland, and Belfast. Denis, the host, supplies drinks and snacks at no charge. The closest diner is four miles away and the closest restaurant is 20 miles away.
